FASET AGM 2026
Annual Dinner & Celebration Evening

FASET Annual General Meeting & Awards Evening 2026
One industry. One room. A chance to shape what comes next.

FASET members, partners and industry colleagues came together at Worsley Park Country Club, Manchester, on Thursday 24 September 2026 for a day of practical discussion about safety at height, followed by an evening recognising excellence across the Association.

The question running through the AGM was simple: does the safe way work on site? From the routes people take across a workplace to the detail of a powered access rescue plan, speakers and members explored how standards can better reflect the conditions people face when doing the job.

Members shape FASET’s next steps

Opening the AGM, FASET Managing Director Tony Seddon reflected on the Association’s growth. Its membership has doubled since 2015 and now includes 62 UK members, nine international members and three supporter members.

Quentin Emery of RyderMarsh Ocaid challenged delegates to consider why people take shortcuts and how involving those doing the work can make safe systems easier to follow. Brian Parker of IPAF brought the same practical focus to powered access, asking businesses to test whether their rescue plans would work with the machines and people actually on site.

Mark Keily of Sunbelt Rentals received FASET’s Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of more than two decades of service to the Association. Since first becoming involved in FASET’s committees in 2003, Mark has generously shared his time and expertise to help develop its health, safety and technical work. His contribution reflects the commitment of members who work together to raise standards across the industry.

Members then met in smaller groups to discuss FASET’s profile with principal contractors, the use of its technical guidance and changing training needs. Their feedback will go to the Board as the Association plans its next steps and looks ahead to its 25th anniversary in 2028.

An evening recognising excellence

The Annual Dinner & Celebration Evening gave members and guests time to reconnect, enjoy entertainment from comedian Harry Stachini and celebrate the standards demonstrated across FASET’s audited membership.

The 2026 award winners were:
The new business management and technical awards were based on members’ independent FASET audit results, recognising the systems and standards they maintain throughout the year.

Over £1,700 raised for Air Ambulances UK

Members and guests also raised over £1,700 for Air Ambulances UK. The cause has a personal connection to FASET: an air ambulance in Scotland came to the aid of a member of the FASET community in December.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support the lifesaving work of air ambulance charities across the UK.

Thank you

FASET thanks everyone who attended, shared their experience and helped make the 2026 AGM and Celebration Evening possible. We are also grateful to our speakers, sponsors and partners for their support.

The conversations started at the AGM will continue through the Association’s work with its members: turning practical experience into stronger guidance, better training and safer work at height.
