No entry forms. No polished award submissions. At FASET’s 2026 Annual Dinner & Celebration Evening, the winners were chosen from something more revealing: how member businesses performed in their independent FASET audits.

Three new awards recognised the standards members demonstrate in business management and technical work, and the commitment it takes to maintain them year after year.

JMAC Hire & Sales Ltd won Best in Business Management for its performance against FASET’s business management audit requirements. Prodek Safety Systems Ltd received the Best in Technical Excellence award, having completed the technical part of its audit with no follow-up actions.

The overall award went to Structural Metal Decks Ltd. Across its business management and technical audits, the company had just one follow-up action in each area.

Tony Seddon, Managing Director of FASET, said the awards were created to recognise the work that sets audited members apart: the systems they maintain, the standards they meet and the care they take in the disciplines in which they operate.

The celebrations followed a day of discussion about safety, competence and the future of the industry. Comedian Harry Stachini brought a change of pace to the evening, giving members and guests a chance to relax together.

The FASET community also used the dinner to support a cause close to its heart, raising over £1,700 for Air Ambulances UK. The national charity supports the lifesaving work of the UK’s 21 air ambulance charities, whose crews bring specialist emergency care to people with serious injuries and medical emergencies.

The choice was personal for FASET. An air ambulance in Scotland came to the aid of a member of the FASET community in December. For an association dedicated to protecting people who work at height, the importance of a rapid response to serious injury also resonates across its membership.

Becky Clutton, Head of Member Support & Operations at FASET, said: “We have seen the difference an air ambulance can make when somebody needs urgent help. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who donated. Together, we raised over £1,700 to support the teams who are there when every second counts.”
