The 2021 National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline sets out nearly £650 billion of public and private investment that the UK government states will transform people’s lives for decades to come. Across the UK, world-class infrastructure will act as the foundation on which to build back better, uniting and levelling up the country as we recover from the pandemic.
The procurement pipeline sets out procurements with an estimated contract value of up to £37 billion over the next year. This includes 340 procurements across more than 260 projects and programmes to deliver construction, repair and maintenance and consultancy services.
On paper, this is very encouraging for the industry as a whole. FASET, as the trade association and training body for the safety netting and temporary safety systems industry, occupies a vital part in the supply chain for construction workers who work at height. We take a keen interest in the latest developments in the industry, from an economic, sustainability and health and safety viewpoint.
