In October 2023, Persimmon Homes became the first Supporter Member of FASET after working for the previous six months on an initiative to make the use of platform decking systems safer on Persimmon’s sites.
FASET trained Persimmon’s site management personnel via its Platform Decking for Managers course. Additionally, from 01/01/24 all operatives installing platform decking systems on a Persimmon Homes site must hold the FASET Installer’s qualification, evidenced by a Blue Skilled FASET CSCS Card. Persimmon currently requires all installation companies to undertake pre-qualification through a SSiP scheme, and from 01/01/24 will be encouraging installers to undertake this through FASET’s UKAS and SSiP-accredited scheme.
