With construction needing to recruit almost 45,000 new entrants each week to maintain output, @OpenDoorsWeek is vital in inspiring the next generation to choose a career in the industry.
OpenDoors takes visitors behind the site hoardings to showcase the wide range of careers available in construction. This year’s event ran from 13 - 18 March 2023 and welcomed more than 4,500 visitors to over 230 sites across Great Britain. The sites ranged from tunnels to skyscrapers, as well as a wide range of virtual experiences, whilst offices, factories and other facilities opened their doors to demonstrate the off-site roles across the sector.
