NASC sponsors record-breaking day at British Forces Resettlement Services Day in Catterick

As the established trade association and training body for the safety netting and temporary safety systems industry, FASET aims to always keep up to date with the latest news from the building access industry.

We are pleased to share the following from the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC).

Catterick, UK – NASC, the longest established national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK, once again demonstrated its commitment to providing valuable career opportunities for those leaving the British Armed Forces. On March 30th, NASC exhibited at the British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) day in Catterick, where it achieved phenomenal success.

According to the event organ this was the most successful BFRS event at which the NASC has ever hosted a stand on behalf of its members. Despite the very busy event, the NASC’s stand was one of the most visited. The stand was manned by Dennis Braithwaite, NASC Technical Advisor, ably assisted by representatives from NASC members Altrad Services UK, Burflex (Scaffolding) Ltd, Crossway Scaffolding (Elland) Ltd, J Mac Group, Lyndon SGB, MTL Scaffolding Ltd. and Rainham Industrial Services Ltd.

The NASC has been actively promoting scaffolding as a rewarding career pathway, and the continued growth of the reputation of NASC members as employers of choice is a testament to their hard work and dedication. The feedback received from the BFRS day is a clear indication that their efforts are paying off.

Dennis Braithwaite, Technical Advisor for NASC, commented “We have built a great relationship with BFRS over the years and these events are so important for educating armed forces veterans on the range of careers available in the industry which match their unique skill sets and equally, connecting them with NASC members. Today’s event has been our busiest yet and a great opportunity to promote the scaffolding industry.”

The NASC would like to extend its sincere appreciation to its members who attended the event and helped make it such a great success. The NASC is already looking forward to future events and encourages its members to consider getting a dedicated stand at future events, including the next one in Colchester at the Corporal Budd VC Gymnasium on June 8th, 2023.
