Celebrating 1000 FASET Cards Issued

FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training), the leading trade association and training body for the safety netting and temporary safety systems industry, is delighted to announce reaching the milestone of issuing its 1,000th Digital FASET card, a CSCS Alliance recognised card scheme.

The CSCS Alliance is the voice of the 38 card schemes displaying the CSCS logo and means that individuals holding these cards, such as the FASET card, operate with nationally recognised qualifications in place for its occupations and are therefore able to perform their duties on UK construction sites.

This achievement underscores FASET's commitment, and the industry as a whole, to enhancing safety and professionalism within the construction sector, particularly for those working at heights.

Tony Seddon, Managing Director of FASET, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating:

"The issuance of the 1000th FASET card is not just a number; it represents the industry's acknowledgment of the essential expertise required to work safely at height. This card is a testament to the holder's in-depth understanding and proficiency in temporary safety systems, a critical component of construction site safety."

Innovative Digital Card System

Obtaining a card featuring the CSCS logo for disciplines covered by FASET is available exclusively through FASET's approved training schemes.

All FASET qualifications exclusively issue digital cards, which offer numerous advantages to holders, including the capability to add new qualifications, enhanced protection against loss or forgery and the convenience of receiving alerts for expiry dates and safety notifications.

Verification of cards is straightforward and secure via the SmartCheck website or app, accessible at https://cscssmartcheck.co.uk/.

Enhanced Training and Competency Standards

FASET is recognised as the premier trade association within the Temporary Safety Systems sector, offering comprehensive training and assessment which can lead to the issuance of a FASET digital card, displaying the CSCS logo.

The association boasts a network of accredited training centres located throughout the UK, New Zealand, and Australia, providing accessible training in:

  • Safety Net Training
  • Stair Tower Training
  • Edge Protection Training
  • Platform Decking Training
  • Safety Net Repair Training

These training programs are designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement and maintain effective safety measures on construction sites, thereby reducing the risk of accidents and enhancing overall safety.

FASET Membership

FASET Membership takes the industry’s commitment further. Used in conjunction with a member company’s operatives holding a FASET digital card demonstrates dedication to advancing working at height safety in the industry.

Holding a FASET digital card should not be taken as an indication that the holder is part of a FASET member company. To find out if a company is a FASET member, use our Check a FASET Member search function on our website https://www.faset.org.uk/check-a-faset-member/.
