The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has reached a significant milestone, with its global membership now exceeding 2,000 organisations. The achievement highlights the growing international commitment to improving safety and best practice in the powered access sector.
IPAF’s members span 83 countries and include manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and training providers working across a wide range of industries where powered access equipment is used. The organisation promotes the safe and effective use of powered access through training, guidance, technical support and industry safety campaigns.
Peter Douglas, CEO and Managing Director of IPAF, described the milestone as a proud moment for the federation, noting that recent years have seen significant expansion in training programmes, digital services and safety initiatives designed to help members reduce workplace incidents and improve operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, IPAF plans to continue strengthening its global network and enhancing the services available to members. This includes further development of digital tools such as the ePAL app and increased promotion of safety campaigns that encourage the sharing of incident and near-miss experiences as learning opportunities across the industry.
As a Supporter Member of FASET, IPAF plays an important role in promoting best practice for working at height. Both organisations share a common goal of raising safety standards and supporting industry professionals through training, guidance and collaboration.
