Safety Nets must have a permanently attached ‘Identification Label’ that contains, as a minimum, the following information:
- the name or mark of the manufacture or importer
- the designation, identity number and year and month of manufacture
- the manufacturers withdrawal from service criteria of the safety net
- the manufacturers article code
Safety Nets that have undergone periodic testing shall be supplied with ‘Test Tag’ (see Technical Bulletin 3), verifying that the net still meets the manufactures withdrawal from service level.
Comprehensive records of all Safety Nets within a fleet shall be kept, and upon request, provide evidence that the Safety Net in use is within date, i.e. a copy of the net 12 monthly test certificate. (see Technical Bulletin 2)
Therefore; Rigging companies should:
- Provide on all sites, a list of all Safety Nets installed on the particular project, and
- Upon request (within a reasonable time period i.e. 24 hours) provide approx. 10% of the test records / reports of these installed Safety Nets.
NB: FASET will support any client requests for additional test records if the FASET Member does not meet the above timescale.
