There is no set standard for what or how a Safety Net Test Record should be presented. It may be in the form of an Individual test certificate (Figure 1) or a computer / database print out (Figure 2). As a minimum, both Records must contain the following information:
- Name of the Company carrying out the Test
- Name of the Competent Person carrying out the Test
- Name of the Owner of the Safety Net
- The Safety Net’s unique identification / serial number. NB: if the Company uses ‘Fleet / Stock’ numbers in addition to the ID number then both numbers need to be identified on the certificate
- Date of which the Test was carried out
- Test device ‘speed’ of Test
- Manufactures withdrawal from service level
- Result of test; fail or confirmation that the Safety Net maybe used for a further 12 months
