IASA Announces International Scaffolding and Access Day

The International Access & Scaffolding Association (IASA) has announced the launch of International Scaffolding and Access Day, which will be celebrated annually on 14 May from 2026 onwards.

For its inaugural year, the theme will be: “Recognising the industry. Supporting its people. Shaping its future.”

The new international day aims to highlight the vital role played by the scaffolding and access sector worldwide, while also raising awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. It is intended to provide a shared platform for contractors, operatives, manufacturers, training providers, and industry organisations to recognise the professionalism, skill, and dedication of those working at height.

As an organisation representing safety and competence in temporary safety systems, FASET welcomes initiatives that promote recognition of the people and standards that underpin safe working practices across the access and scaffolding community.
