FASET – the established trade association and training body for the safety netting and temporary safety systems industry – is delighted to be running the first of its Platform Decking for Managers courses today (4th April 2023) in conjunction with Persimmon Homes.
Persimmon Homes, headquartered in York, is one of the UK’s leading housebuilding companies. It identified the need to formalise the training of its site management and safety teams in order to manage the installation and use of platform decking systems on their housebuilding site throughout the UK.
Persimmon Homes is also leading the way in requiring all installers of platform decking to hold FASET CSCS Blue cards for installing on their sites from the start of next year. They are also looking for installation companies to hold the FASET SSiP certificate to demonstrate corporate competence.
Today’s inaugural Platform Decking for Managers course is being held at G&M Safe Deck Ltd in Middlewich (Cheshire). G&M Safe Deck Ltd is a member of FASET and a market-leading provider of safety and crash decking to the construction industry.
