LondonEnergy has been awarded the highly prestigious and internationally recognised RoSPA Gold Award for demonstrating exceptional Health and Safety performance throughout 2021.
The award was made for the company’s commitment to ensuring that all its employees, contractors and site visitors return home safely to their families at the end of every working day. LondonEnergy has launched a number of initiatives to bolster their health and safety record, these include: behavioural-based safety training for all managers; an incident-reporting app; empowerment cards to remind all employees to Stop and Question All Unsafe Acts; new COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and asbestos management systems; and finally, mobile plant proximity sensors to minimise the risk of pedestrian and mobile plant collisions.
Organisations receiving an RoSPA Award are regarded to be world leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.
Head of HSQE at LondonEnergy, Tom Bateson, said: “Following 2 consecutive years of achieving RoSPA Silver Awards, we are delighted that LondonEnergy has been awarded an RoSPA Gold. Achieving this award recognises that our Health and Safety management systems and culture are well developed, that we have a rigorous approach to Health and Safety, and that we have had low accident rates over the course of 2021. This success reflects all the hard work that everyone puts in every day to ensure that we all stay safe. Keep up the good work!”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Achievements Director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment.
